Zack found a loose puck and wired it just wide.

Cam pressed hard to keep the puck in the Flam end giving both Keelan, and Zack opportunities late at the end of the 1st

 2nd period Josh kept it in, Zack picked up the loose puck and passed To Ryan out front who just missed.

Evan fought for the puck moving it up to keep the action in the Flam end Nice pass across to Mark from Trent, big save by the Flam goalie mid 2nd period.

Tristan fed the puck up for another nice chance.

Flam late chance in the 2nd, Jordie stood strong. Still 2-1 Fusion end of 2nd.

Right from the drop of the puck in the 3rd, Mark won the face off, went deep and buried a nice one on the short side to make the score 3-1, 25 seconds into the period.

Eric fought hard in the corner to keep the play alive resulting a chance for Evan. Flam got the puck out and scored to make the score 3-2.

Flam kept pressing, Jordie had to make a couple of big saves mid 3rd.

Josh had a big shot on net, big save. Ethan kept the puck in and buried one to make the score 4-2.

Cam carried the puck end to end but the play went off side.

4 mins to go, Fusion kept pressing, Zack Keelan and Ryan pounded the puck at the Flam goalie but he incredibly kept the puck out. Next shift Mark passed to Ethan who blasted one narrowly missing his hat trick.

They kept the puck in, Mark hit the post before Flam cleared it out with under a min to go. Katie Eric and ? Kept it deep for the win. Final 4-2 Fusion.

DANCE ~ Saturday March 6th Elora Arena

PIZZA PARTY after our game on Sunday March 7th

Trent started the scoring early in the first.  Oakville came back and picked up a rebound to tie up the score half way through the first and added another soon after. This did not stop the Fusion they kept the presser on.  At 2:44 Cam was called for slashing but Tristan played hard to kill off the penalty.  Oakville was than sent in the box of tripping.  Fusion put the push on but Tristan D. was in the box beside the Oakville player.  The score was 2-1 after the first.

In the second, Zack had a great rush to the net and put the puck up high in the top corner assisted by Trent.  Oakville managed to skate past the defence and racked up a couple more goals.  4-2 by the end of the second.

Half way into the third a Oakville player was sent to the box for body contact - Mark had a nice shot on the Oakville goalie but was glove saved.  Tristan again was in the box for tripping, so the team fought hard to kill the penalty.  With 4 on 4, Cam had a great chance but went wide.  With 3 minutes left, Oakville was up 5-2.  With the faceoff at centre, Fusion pulled their goalie and Mark had a great shot once again but was robbed by the Oakville goalie. 

Final score 5-2.

CW Fusion braved the snowy conditions to travel to Flamborough tonight and it was worth the trip!.  Final score 4 - 2 more details to follow. JR ???

Fusion Hosted Oakville in Elora on February 17th

Another great game played by Fusion tonight, Fusion dominated the first 5 minutes of the game but just could not get the puck in the net.  Zack made a great shot on net giving Fusion the first chance of the night.  Fusion did manage to put the first goal of the game up on the board by Trent.  Oakville fought back and tied the game up.  Fusion did some great digging in front of the net and an awesome job by the denfence keeping it in the zone.  The puck lay still on the goal line, but we just couldn't bat it in.  With only 1 minute left Oakville got by the defencemen and pulled ahead.  With only 6 seconds left on th board, Mark put one pass the Oakville goaltender to tie up at the end of the first period.

Heading into the second, Oakville came out strong and managed to break the tie 30 seconds in.  The play was back and forth for most of the game, but Cam played hard and got called for tripping.  Fusion exhausted their powerplay and once again another penalty for Fusion.  Tristan C. was in the box with 4 minutes left in the second.  Oakville gained a goal with the powerplay, but Fusion had some great chances with many passes out front but could not connect.  It was now 4-2 for the Oakville.

Ethan had a great goal making the fans cheer for more.  Ryan was called to the penalty box for hooking at 9.11, but this did not stop Fusion and put another point on the board to bring the score closer together.  Goal was scored by Mark who lifted the puck high over the Oakville goalie. 

With the score tied 4-4, fans were roaring and the Fusion was pushing hard.  With only 59.7 seconds left in the third Oakville took a long shot and it snuck through Jordan's 5 hole to make it 5-4.  With Oakville ahead by one goal, Fusion coaches call a time out!  Fusion won the face off and down they went to the Oakville end, with the clock ticking down Fusion had a great chance but could not make the game go on.  GREAT GAME FUSION!  Everyone of you should be so proud.

FUSION GAIN THEIR FIRST WIN OF THE PLAY OFFS

Fusion played outstanding in the first period with Trent putting the first goal of the game up on the board.  Cam and Tristan did a great job keeping the puck in and managed to feed Trent once again to gain the lead 2-0 for Fusion.

Early in the second Fusion had some amazing passes and Mark skated hard to make it past the Caledon's Defence and had a top shelf goal to make it 3-0 for the Fusion.   Again with Trent, Ethan and Mark on the ice, they dug hard to put another point up on the board.  Jordan continued to make all the saves, but Caledon did sneak one pass to narrow the gap to 4-1 with only 2:00 minutes left in the second. 

With the Fusion up 4-1, the players started to get a little more aggressive ~ Caledon fought hard to the end and was called for tripping.  This gave the Fusion another chance ~ Ethan with his fancy stick handling put the puck passed the Caledon goalie for another point.  Fusion then pressed hard and Tristan D. was in the box for body contact and this gave up a goal.   Fusion left the buiding with a 5-2 win.

Great hockey once again Fusion ~ keep up the great work!

WOW! Outstanding team effort tonight vs Milton in their first playoff game ever!

Fusion played some great hockey tonight vs Milton in their first playoff game.  Fusion played with determination, aggressive play and all skated to win. 

Fusion was all over Milton in the first but couldn't manage to get the puck in their net.  Mark popped one high in front of the net giving Trent a great chance, but again could put his stick on it.  This was one of many, many chances Fusion had thoughout the entire game.  With only 1 minute left in the first Milton put the first point up on the board.  With 6 seconds left Zack won the faceoff, giving us another opportunity to tie it up.

In the second with Cam in the box, Jordan shut them down and made some great saves to hold the game at 1 nothing.  Milton now with 2 in the box, Fusion played hard and with many great passes out front of the Milton net just couldn't get the puck on the wood to gain a point. Ryan had a great pass to Keelan who was standing alone in from the net, but missed the one timer ~ making the fans leap from their seats! 

With Milton now up 3 nothing, Fusion did not give up and Cam came in and made a fabulous shot that wizzed pass the goalie to make it 3-1. 

A too many men penalty for Fusion with only 6 mintues left in the third did not hold them back ~ Mark got a rebound goal to make it 3-2 assisted by Ethan and Katie. 

With only seconds left Fusion had many chances to tie it up but time ran out.

An outstanding game played by all ~ well done team!
